Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of the KRID platform. Please read them carefully before completing your registration.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the KRID platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations of Katsina State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the platform.

2. Platform Purpose

KRID (Katsina Resident Identity) is a digital public infrastructure service operated by the Katsina State Government. It is designed to enable resident registration, identity verification, and access to eligible government services. The platform is provided as a public utility and must not be used for any purpose inconsistent with its stated objectives.

3. Eligibility

Use of KRID is available to residents and citizens of Katsina State and, where applicable, authorised government personnel. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. Any false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of your access.

4. Data Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring that all personal information submitted during registration is accurate and up to date. KRID relies on the information you provide to generate and maintain your resident identity record. Deliberately providing false information is a violation of these terms and may constitute an offence under applicable Nigerian law.

5. Biometric Data

During registration, KRID captures facial biometric data as part of the identity verification process. By completing registration, you consent to the collection, storage, and processing of your biometric data for identity verification and fraud prevention purposes in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable Katsina State regulations.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify KRID immediately at krid@ikatsina.ng if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. KRID is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system; (c) submit forged, fraudulent, or stolen identity documents; (d) impersonate another person or entity; (e) interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure or security; or (f) use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and software on the KRID platform are the property of the Katsina State Government or its licensors. No part of the platform may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Katsina State Government and KATDICT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the KRID platform. The platform is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

10. Changes to Terms

The Katsina State Government reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the applicable laws of Katsina State. Any disputes arising from the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Katsina State.
